Felony Possession for Sale of Heroin & Cocaine Charges Dismissed

November 2018

Felony Possession for Sale of Heroin & Cocaine Charges Dismissed – Van Nuys Superior Court. Michael Goldstein’s client was charged with possession for sale of both heroin and cocaine following a traffic stop. The client had two prior sales convictions which enhance any sentence by 6 years. Given two prison priors and a strike prior for a felony residential burglary conviction, the client was looking at more than 12 years in state prison. Following a preliminary hearing and suppression motion, Michael was able to negotiate a plea deal for a misdemeanor possession and 26 NA meetings. Our client was not required to serve any jail or perform any community service as part of the disposition.
