Kian R. Magaña was admitted to practice law in California in 2014. After gaining experience at a civil litigation firm, Kian joined the Goldstein Law Group as an associate in 2015. Kian practices exclusively in the area of criminal defense and has handled cases ranging from misdemeanor DUI’s, Domestic Violence, Murders and federal complex prescription fraud.
Kian received his BA degree in History from Cornell University and his law degree from UC Davis. In addition to his courtroom and trial experience, Kian has spearheaded much of our motion practice with a tremendous amount of success. Throughout law school, Kian worked on the Hong Yen Chang Project where law students worked to get a Chinese-American admitted to the California State Bar posthumously after he was denied admittance under the Chinese exclusion act. Kian was a founding member of this project and his efforts resulted in the admission of Mr. Chang to the California State Bar.
Kian is a member of the Criminal Courts Bar Association and Los Angeles County Bar Association. Kian is a fluent Spanish speaker.
