Immigrant Arrested after Sexually Abusing Victim for 19 Years
Recently in Southern California, an undocumented immigrant was arrested for committing sex crimes. The man, 49 year old Herbert Morrison, was arrested for sexually abusing a female victim throughout the span of 19 years.
Morrison was picked up by officers and then escorted to a federal detention facility in Los Angeles. At this time, he is still being held at the facility and may be facing deportation for his illegal immigration into the United States.
Police say that Morrison is facing charges of sexual molestation of a child under 14 years of age, sexual battery and rape. Earlier in May, police arrested Morrison for molesting the same victim. However, charges were never filed against him because police had insufficient evidence. Since that arrest, investigators have gathered additional evidence, which led to Morrison being placed in police custody yet again.
Morrison's bail has been set at $500,000 and in order to protect his victim, the girl's identity is expected to remain anonymous to the public.
