In Los Angeles, it is reported that a sheriff's deputy from the Los Angeles County Police Department shot and killed a man who had crashed into him. The exact location of the shooting was Studio City.
Captain Mike Parker said that last Thursday, the drug task force got together for a debriefing in a parking lot. Prior to the meeting, the task force had served a search warrant and during the meeting, officers noticed a man was looking into cars. Some of the cars including those of task force members.
A police officer confronted the man and a struggle commenced. The sheriff's deputy pulled out his gun and ordered the man to lay on the ground. However, the deputy was rammed by a Toyota sedan that has crashed into the group of officers. The deputy was thrown onto the windshield of the vehicle and fell off while a federal agent shot and killed the driver.
At this time, police are not releasing the name of the man who assaulted them.
