Police Find Truck Transporting $45 Million Worth of Drugs

Last week Wednesday, police report that they arrested a big rig driver in Los Angeles. According to police, the man was pulled over by deputies on Interstate 10 in Rancho Cucamonga. While searching the big rig, police found $45 million worth of illegal narcotics.
The driver, 32 year old Fernando Luevano, was arrested and held at the West Valley Detention Center. He was booked on charges of transportation and sales of narcotics and possession of drugs. His bail was set at $5 million.
The day of the arrest, officers noticed the truck at 11:00 AM and pulled it over for a traffic violation. When they discovered that the paperwork for the truck's load was not in order, they asked to inspect the trailer. When Luevano opened the trailer, police smelled the strong odor of marijuana. They inspected the trailer further and found heat-sealed packages of marijuana inside boxed.
According to investigators, Luevano had 19 tons of marijuana, 2,700 pounds of cocaine and 67 pounds of methamphetamine in his big rig.
